Do you dare

There is an equal balance
Both in light and dark
But if one tips the scales
A side must be chosen

Do you dare walk the path
Do you dare stumble
Do you dare close your eyes
Do you dare to not
Be true to yourself

There is an equal scale
Both in good and bad
But if the season is wrong
You are left to adapt

Do you dare swim the gauntlet
Do you dare tread water
Do you dare to stop swimming
Do you dare to not
Be honest to yourself

There is an equal time
Both in day and night
But if you pause for a moment
Does the clock stop?

From the heart
Char
