Is ticking away
Always on my mind
What the future holds

So here I am

Not such a bad number
Surprisingly ...

Is ticking fast 
Just the other day
I was twenty one

Alarmingly ...

Tick tock the clock
Is ticking slow
Sometimes we wish
Things moved by quicker

So here I am

Not such a wise number
Unfortunately ...

Tick tock the clock
Is ticking moodily
How events touch me
More so than others may

So here I am

Not such a witty number
Subsequently ...

Tick tock the clock
Is ticking loudly
Constant reminder to my ears
That time is a keeper
