Dad, daddy and father

You were oblivious to your path
Mapped out by destiny
Not sure what life had to offer
Or would throw your way

You had a dream
An idea of great sorts
Of what a family should be
One that was meant for saving

A name you are called
Wearing with pride
You are all these things
Dad, daddy and father

It hasn't always been easy
Taking the unknown on
Making it your quest
Seeing their happiness first

There's a long list of accolades
To add to your shelf
I'd like to think of you as
The glue that holds us together

A name you are called
Wearing with honour
You are all these things
Dad, daddy and father

Happy father's day Frans, you are much loved by the boys xxx

From the heart
Char
