Mom, mother and mommy

Life is never smooth sailing
Our jobs rendered hard at times
For up and downs
Highs and lows exist
Whether we want them or not

You take my breath away
In all your charm
From the second you were born
I couldn't get enough
Watching you while sleeping

A name I'm called
Hold dear to my heart
I chose this title so fittingly
Mom, mother and mommy

I see your sadness
And my heart aches with you
I see your happiness
And I rejoice with you
Nothing a bandaid kiss can't fix

There is moments
I want to be close to you
Hold you tight against my heart
But I know you need time
So I'll watch from a distance

A name I'm called
Hold dear to my heart
I chose this title so fittingly
Mom, mother and mommy

Soon you'll leave the house
And explore the world
I'll Grant you freedom
Cos I know it won't be long
Before you call for advice

We gain so much
A box full of tissues
Could so aptly tell our secrets
When I close my eyes
I know I am the centre of love

Happy mother's day!

From the heart
Char
