Risen

High expectations set by
The powerful roman empire
Capitalised on dictatorship
A ruler full of jealousy
Couldn't accept the gift bestowed
For a man in simple cloth
Had come to teach us

He has risen to take the stand
A duty and debt paid in full
By the blood that cleanses us

A crown of thorns made
In a court of mockery
Which he no longer wears
A King of all kings
There is no doubting
Wondering and waiting
His hands bare the marks

He has risen to take the stand
A Duty and debt paid in full
By the blood that washes us

His human life given
Written in stone
Such a sacrifice to be hold
So shall our sins pass
And be ultimately forgiven
The saviour has ascended

This has been a remarkable Easter weekend, full of trials and tribulations, but God is ever near when we need him.

Thank you Lord for being my Saviour.

From the heart
Char
