Winter

A cold day has sprung
Ice particles still left
Mist is hanging over
A dull grey sky looms

Not a fan of the cold
Never was and never will

Fingers and toes
Stiff to the bone
Shivers down my spine
A chilly wind against my cheeks

Not a fan of the cold
Never was and never will

Too many layers
Feeling closed up
Counting the days
Winter my old acquaintance

Not a fan of the cold
Never was and never will

Windy days drag along
Short days and long nights
The air is thick
A season soon forgotten

From the heart
Char
