Love sweet love

Growing up I'm told
Can be the hardest
Journey of our life
Path so challenging

Love sweet love
Is what will get us through
An anthem for our teens
An antidote for our adult ways

Growing up I've experienced
Pain not so kind
Struggles of fortune
Empty promises stacking up

Love sweet love
Is what will get us through
A diary full of emotions
A self proclaimed tell all book

Growing up I wish to be older
One day when I'm big I say
I have this and that
A money tree ripe for the picking

Love sweet love
Is what will get us through
Naive notions of the young mind
Imaginations running wild

Growing up I wish I remained
Current with reality
Cause being older means I'm wanting
To be young again

Love sweet love
Is what will get us through
The phases we strive
To better ourselves

From the heart
Char
